Today this Alter Ego writes inspired by the Wizard of Oz and thinking how much…Dorothy wanted to go to a place ♫where trouble melts like lemon drops… Somewhere over the Rainbow♫ and once at that place... she realized she wanted something else...? And started a path that showed her what she really wanted, although since the beginning of the journey she had the power to get it... but it was the journey that showed what that was.
Have you noticed that we are always trying to get somewhere? Most of us don’t even know where... sure we have a major goal to achieve whatever makes us happy, but: Do you know what makes you happy? Pardon mon français ... but I don’t have a fucking idea! AND THAT IS THE BEAUTY OF IT!
(..bear in mind I mean to sound corny with what I am about to write, but today this Alter Ego feels terrible optimistic about new experiences and challenges…) I wake up every day and thank for what I have and who I have in my life, but also thank for what/who I don’t have… because that gives me the chance to continue the journey towards finding it! How boring would it be if I already had all I wanted...
It amazes me how life changes in just a couple of days, how journeys and people change who you are forever… and by changing it they transform our idea of happiness…therefore transforming the path and constructing that idea along the way.
We need to embrace the good and the bad, love and hate, sadness and happiness…it is the mere existence of the difference between them that give us pleasure when a new experience comes along.
If we don’t follow the Yellow Brick Road… we will never be capable to enjoy clicking our ruby slippers… So us girls need to embrace our emotions, it is O-K to make a mistake at work, get heartbroken, cry and feel anger, if it means walking the talk ... TO FINALLY KNOW WHAT WE WANT and have the pleasure to knock our ruby Christian Louboutin Stilettos 3 times!
All big achievements are a sum of many small achievements… and for me (today) that is the essence of life, achieving as often as possible little pieces of happiness… so what CHE DIAVOLO… como dirian los italianos… Apply for that job! Search for that scholarship! Buy that house! Take that plain and walk the Paris streets looking for an adventure, Text him just to let him know you remember… or get on plain and get that doubt out of your heart....
Toto we are not in Kansas anymore!
We can’t make time go back, it is impossible to repeat the small miracles life gives us… like the first time you made love with someone or the first time you tasted that awesome Gianduia gelato that melted on your mouth or even the first time you got high (LOL). As Mark Twain wisely said “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
So... I gonna stop writing and walk my talk...I am ♫off to see the Wizard ♫ the Wonderful Wizard of Oz ♫ If you plan to do the same, just remember that there never was real wizard, just an old man that pointed out their journeys achievements!
Perhaps soon enough I will be writing how I will finally find out ,just like Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Lion, that I already have the brains, the heart and the courage to have that special something that fills my heart with joy!

"Where trouble melts like lemon drops"...Y así debe ser la vida dejar que las cosas pasen y aquellos sentimientos negativos verlos desde afuera, es decir, no indentificarnos con ellos. Ver la vida desde una perspectiva más simple, más básica...Somos más que nuestras emociones, sensaciones y sentimientos...!!!
